The Model 578 GLS Pro-Fit holster is a unique design that adjusts to properly fit over 225 different handguns, allowing it to work with most popular mid- to full-size semi automatics. This model is equipped with an easy on/easy off paddle attachment. The holster is constructed of SafariSeven, a proprietary nylon that is completely non-abrasive, tolerant of both high and low temperatures, and very easy to maintain. Retention is achieved by the Safariland Grip Lock System (GLS) which automatically secures the weapon when holstered. The weapon is released by the middle finger upon application of a standard shooting grip, permitting a smooth, rapid and natural draw.
