Straight from our Custom Shop, the Model 40-XS Tactical System is the ultimate instrument of accuracy. It’s built on the time-tested Model 40-X action, using the most advanced materials and components available. At the heart of the system is the rock-solid, 416 stainless steel Model 40-X 24″ barreled action, coated with Remington’s proprietary non-reflective black polymer coating for protection and reduced reflectivity. Capable of 0.50 inch maximum 3-shot groups at 100 yards.

Based on the time tested Model 40-X action, the Model 40-XS combines legendary strength and dependability with the most advanced materials and components to bring you the ultimate tactical rifle for the 21st century. Chambered in .308 Win (1:12″ Twist), the heart of the system centers around the 416 stainless steel Model 40-X 24″ barreled action, coated with Remington’s proprietary non-reflective black polymer coating for additional protection.

To insure stability under the harshest conditions, the action is custom bedded in a McMillan A3 series stock with adjustable length of pull and adjustable comb. The Model 40-X trigger (externally adjustable for trigger pull weight) and a Sunny Hill heavy duty, all-steel trigger guard complete the system making the Model 40-XS the finest tactical rifle available today. Prior to leaving the Remington Custom Shop in Ilion, NY, each Model 40-XS rifle must prove capable of delivering .50 MOA accuracy or better.
