The Dead Point guide rod is made from 303 stainless steel and comes complete with a Wolff Recoil spring. A 9v battery is used to power the light and the extended take down lever, paired with ambidextrous on/off controls complete the package. If you can take down your firearm you can install this replacement guide rod, it takes just a few minutes and no gun-smithing is required.
