The Ruger Bearcat is the smallest and lightest .22 single action revolver made by Ruger. Designed to be an excellent companion in the field or at the range the Bearcat features a durable cast steel frame, cold hammer-forged steel barrel and unfluted steel cylinder with decorative bear and cougar rollmark. The one piece frame and classic styling hearken back to the Civil War era Remington revolvers but feature Ruger’s hallmark safety upgrades including a transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock. The compact grip and low recoil make the Bearcat great for introducing new shooters to single action shooting and the crisp single action trigger makes it a pleasure to shoot for marksmen of any age and ability.  

Smaller, lighter, and based on older Remington single actions of the 1800’s, the Bearcat has a one piece cylinder frame that is extended to form its compact grip. It has been described as “a mechanical jewel,” and is the smallest and lightest .22 caliber single action made by Ruger.
