The M&P Shield Plus semi-auto pistol features a thumb safety lever, and the magazine release is reversible for enhanced control with either hand. The trigger system prevents the firearm from discharging unless the trigger is fully depressed, even if the pistol is dropped. A low-profile steel rear sight and a white-dot front sight are rapidly acquired with minimum interference when drawing the weapon from a holster or bag.
